NATIONAL AWARDS
True Merit
Iota Sigma's first True Merit Award. In the spirit
of the ATΩ Creed, Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity annually honors the
undergraduate chapters most deserving of the recognition of True
Merit. The award is given each year to those chapters that have
achieved a high level of excellence in the areas of scholarship,
internal structure and operation, campus, and community involvement,
and an overall balance in chapter programming.

Excellence Award
Awarded to the Iota Sigma chapter for excellence
in many areas of chapter programing. The chapter works hard to
make sure programs are run and planed accordingly.
Communications Award
Awarded to Iota Sigma for excellence in the area
of communications. The chapter produces a newsletter once a month,
posted minutes from meetings and calendars of events in the house,
and worked had in keeping all members, alumni, and parent's informed
on all information regarding the fraternity. This year the chapter
is already topping last years accomplishments with the introduction
of our web site.

Award
Our outstanding Board of Trustees received an excellence
award for all the outstanding accomplishments they made throughout
the year. Are BOT is a vital part in the success of our chapter
and it is nice to see that their hard work is being recognized
nationally. Congratulations to the BOT and thank you for your
support!
CMSU AWARDS
Greek Life Excellence Award, Outstanding New Member Program
The award is given to the fraternity with the most
outstanding new membership program. Our eight week program had
95% of our new members go active. Our new members received a 3.4
for the 1999 fall semester. The program is based on the education
of our new members to the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. The chapter
makes sure they understand the high moral character that it takes
to be part of Alpha Tau Omega, and how to benefit from it. Our
program involves no hazing and the search for true merit wherever
found.
Scholarship Award
Fall 1999
Awarded to the Iota Sigma chapter for making above
all men's average at CMSU with a 2.72 overall chapter GPA. Eighteen
of or members had above a 3.0 and a special cogradulations to
Ryan Gettings, Ryan Little, and Darin Thrasher for all receiving
a 4.0.
Overall Winner of
Greek Week Games 2000
Awarded to the fraternity with the most accumulations
of points after a day of events for the Greek Week Games. Games
include a carp toss, taco eating contest, two man relay, Greek
water slide (who can slide the farthest), box car race, and tug
of war.
